Husband Arrested for Murdering Wife, Burning and Burying Her Body in Backyard

GEORGIA: A shocking and disturbing crime has shaken a Georgia community, leaving a family and neighbors reeling. Kenneth Hardin Jr., 39, was arrested in Louisiana on Wednesday for allegedly murdering his wife, Carrie Hardin, at their Fayette County home.
According to WSB-TV, Hardin Jr. told family members that he killed his wife on Tuesday, claiming self-defense after an alcohol-fueled argument. He then burned her body and buried it in their backyard, hiding it under yard debris. A cadaver dog located the partially burned remains, leading to Hardin Jr.'s arrest.
Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb confirmed that Hardin Jr. has confessed to the crime and is cooperating with the investigation. Hardin Jr.'s father called 911 after his son revealed the shocking truth, leading authorities to track his car to a motel in Covington, Louisiana. SWAT teams took Hardin Jr. into custody, and he is currently being held at the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center without bond, awaiting extradition to Georgia.
