Kentucky Man Arrested Again for Rape and Kidnapping of Minor While Out on Bond for Previous Sex Crime
August 11, 2024
LEXINGTON, Kentucky: William Young, a 25-year-old Kentucky man, was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and kidnapping of a minor, just months after being released on bond for a previous sex crime. Young's latest arrest is the culmination of a disturbing pattern of behavior, with multiple minors coming forward to report instances of exploitation and abuse.
According to court documents, Young used social media platform Snapchat to lure his victims, using the handle "Ace3Gatti" to mask his true identity. The latest victim, a 15-year-old girl, reported that Young used Snapchat's location settings to track her down, before allegedly raping her in his vehicle.
When confronted by authorities, Young denied the allegations, but his alibi was quickly discredited by Flock license plate cameras, which placed his vehicle at the scene of the crime. This is not Young's first brush with the law. In March 2022, he was indicted on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of second-degree unlawful imprisonment, involving two 15-year-old girls.
Despite the severity of the charges, Young was released on a $15,000 property bond, sparking concerns about the justice system's ability to protect minors from predators. Authorities are now facing tough questions about how Young was able to continue his twisted game of cat and mouse with minors, despite being out on bond.
Young is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette District Court. If convicted, he faces serious prison time for his alleged crimes. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, as the full extent of Young's crimes remains to be seen.
