A Tragic End to a Troubling Relationship: Massachusetts Man Charged with Murder of Teenage Girlfriend

MASSACHUSETTS: A devastating case of domestic violence has led to the tragic death of 17-year-old Navaeh Goddard, whose body was discovered in her boyfriend's Massachusetts home in April 2022. Shane Curry, 20, was initially charged with assault and battery after Goddard's death but has now been charged with murder.

Goddard, from Providence, Rhode Island, was reported missing in April 2022, sparking a desperate search for the teenager. Police were called to Curry's residence in Stow, Massachusetts, on April 5, where they encountered a disturbing scene. Curry initially denied police entry into the home, keeping them outside for approximately two hours. When he finally allowed them in, officers found Goddard's lifeless body.

Curry was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for a psychological evaluation. He was initially charged with assault and battery on a household or family member and assault and battery causing serious bodily injury. However, following further investigation, Curry has now been arraigned on murder charges and is being held without bail.

Investigators have revealed that Goddard died from stab wounds, adding another layer of tragedy to this already devastating case.
