PENNSYLVANIA: A 3-year-old child was found dead in a park pond while under the care of their nanny, Imani Lewis. Lewis, 28, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the child's death.

On September 2, Lewis reported the child missing around 7 p.m. in Wilson Farm Park, prompting a search effort by local police. Surveillance footage revealed Lewis calling and texting multiple individuals while the non-verbal child played unsupervised in the park.

Tragically, the child's body was discovered in a retention pond within the park. Tredyffrin Police Chief Michael Beaty described the incident as a "devastating death" that has impacted the entire community.

Lewis has been held on a $100,000 bond, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for September 26. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the child's death.
